Hood World

A hand-painted valley at the hour before dark.

A 3D MMORPG that runs in the browser tab you already have open. Nothing to download, nothing to install. Play as a guest in one click — or connect a wallet if you want your characters kept on the server. It is free, and there is nothing to buy.

Ten zones · Levels 1–30 · Four classes · Parties & guilds

What you do

A valley, a weapon, and people to bring along

Everything below is in the game right now. Nothing here is a roadmap.

Ten zones

Levels 1–30

From the plaza at Vesperfall out through Sunlit Meadow, Whisperwood, Mirror Lake and Hollow Graves, into Ashen Ruins and the Bone Lord's arena — then Cinderfell, Thornfen, Ashfall Pass and Barrowdeep at the top end.

Four classes

Eight skills each

Warrior, Mage, Archer, Shaman. Cast bars, cooldowns, a global cooldown, mana, stuns, bleeds, shields, telegraphed ground effects and a real threat table — not a damage slider with an animation attached.

Friends & party

Shared world

Other players are in the world with you by default, fighting the same enemies. Click a nameplate for a profile — add a friend, whisper, or pull them into a party, where fighting together pays extra experience.

Guilds

Ranks & a bank

Found a guild with your own tag and a painted emblem, set ranks and a message of the day. Members can deposit into a shared bank (a 5 % tax funds it), and the guild itself levels up from 1 to 10, raising every member's kill experience by up to 9 %. Weekly guild quests pay the guild experience and members Rite Sigils.

Wishes

Cosmetic only

Spend gold you earned in the world on Rite Sigils, and wish on a rotating banner for outfits, weapon skins, trails, titles and nameplate frames. None of it carries a stat. The odds are printed on the panel.

Wardrobe

Real silhouettes

Outfits are not recolours. They swap the rig, drop the helm, sling a blade or a quiver across the back and add shoulder plate — and everyone else in the zone sees the one you are wearing.

Events & deeds

41 achievements

Scheduled events lift drop rates, experience and dust for a while — never gold, and never the odds on anything random. Forty-one achievements across six categories track what you have actually done, and pay in Sigils, Ember Dust and titles.

The valley

Light is the subject; colour is rationed

One warm source cutting through cold, misted ground. Every frame is a warm–cool argument, and the only saturated things in it are the ones you are meant to find.

Mirror LakeThe hour this whole world was built around. Stand still for it.
Vesperfall, after darkNight is not day turned down. The lanterns carry the frame, and the road stops being obvious.
Mid-castCast bars, cooldowns, telegraphs on the ground. Stand in the circle and you will hear about it.
WhisperwoodLevels 4–8. The fog closes to eighteen metres in here, deliberately.
The lake, by dayLevels 5–9. Skeleton mages on the far shore, and a mirror that actually reflects.
BarrowdeepLevels 28–30. A crypt cut into the heightfield, and the last thing the valley has to say.

Read this before you wish

Wishes are cosmetic. All of them.

  • Never a statNo outfit, weapon skin, trail, title or frame carries an attribute, a damage number, a drop rate or an experience rate. The data file that defines them is forbidden by test from naming one.
  • Bought with goldA Rite Sigil costs 5,600 gold that you earned by playing. There is no real-money purchase of any kind in the game today.
  • Odds publishedThe full rate table and the pity counters are printed on the Wishes panel, in game, before you spend anything.
  • Duplicates convertA cosmetic you already own comes back as Ember Dust, which buys a cosmetic outright — no randomness involved.
  • Events can't helpA live event can discount a wish or hand out a bonus Sigil, but nothing may ever raise the odds on a random outcome. There is no "increased 5★ rate" event.
